Who needs to complete the Pennsylvania Mandated Reporter Training course?

If you are a new applicant applying for licensure or an existing licensee renewing your license, you will need to complete one of two available courses approved by the Pennsylvania Department of State to meet the Child Abuse requirement as follows:

  • Child Abuse: Pennsylvania Mandated Reporter Training - Initial Licensure
  • Child Abuse: Pennsylvania Mandated Reporter Training - License Renewal

How do I report my certificate of completion?

In order to report the certificate, the red "Report" link will need to be clicked and the required information will need to be supplied. All certificates reported by 6:00pm will be received into the Pennsylvania Department of State database on the same day. Any certificates reported after that time will not post to their system until the following day.

How long are PARequirements.com certificates valid?

The “Child Abuse: Pennsylvania Mandated Reporter Training - License Renewal ” certificate is valid for four years.

The “Child Abuse: Pennsylvania Mandated Reporter Training - Initial Licensure” certificate is a one-time requirement for initial licensure. Once the course has been successfully completed you would not need complete this course again.

We recommend that you maintain copies of your certificates for a period of five years in the event your license is audited.
